old NAVY

I was at Target today with the three youngest, and while walking in the main aisle, an old man is walking towards us. All of a sudden he salutes, says "Navy!" and then awkwardly lowers his salute, and as he quickly passes us quietly says, "oh...OLD navy". He must have seen Xander's shirt. He was gone before I could ease his probable embarrassment by telling him my brother in law was an officer in the Navy, my husband was in the Marines for 8 years, both of my brothers are in the Air Force-with one graduating from the Air Force Academy in a few weeks. Oh well... it was funny though. Poor guy.
