We've felt for a while that we needed a change in jobs; Cody likes his job, but we felt we were needed elsewhere. We didn't know where we were supposed to go, so we went to the temple, and prayed really hard. Cody felt like he should change from being in civil litigation to becoming a prosecutor, so we decided to take steps for him to become a prosecutor.
Cody put in for Maricopa County Prosecutor, and got an interview,... the day he got the interview, he received a call from the Yavapai County Prosecutor's office. They said that they heard through the "secret" grapevine that Cody was interviewing with Maricopa, and said they have a position open, and wanted him to interview with them. He interviewed, and yesterday was called and offered the position! We feel good about staying here in the Prescott area. Everything happens for a reason, and we know that as long as we are following God's commandments, we will be led. It's funny that Cody will be working directly across the street from where he is right now. He is so excited to be a prosecutor, and can't wait to get the "bad guys" the sentencing they deserve :) He still has to tell Alex (who's away for the rest of the week), but he'll probably be starting July 2nd. It will be so nice to have benefits (health insurance + vacation time)! Now we know we're staying, and we can start searching for a house soon... probably start in July, since our lease ends in September.
We feel really good about our decision to stay here in the Prescott area. Cody said after he got the call from the prosecutors office, he began to say a prayer, and just prior to his prayer, he felt the impression that it was our choice whether to stay here or go back to the valley. No matter the path we chose, we would wind up being where the Lord wants us to be, and the path He has planned for us. Cody said he invisioned a straight line that forked, and then came back together. We've been blessed to know that when things are right, they fall right into place very smoothly. I love knowing that I have such a righteous husband who is so in tune with the spirit, and is a worthy priesthood holder; who honors his calling of father and husband. I married such an amazing man. I love him so much!
