I'm Crafty!

So we have extended family pictures tomorrow in Mesa, I've been having the hardest time putting together outfits with the colors I've been given. Hailey's been my hardest. So I finally found a cream shirt... I think I'm going to find a ribbon to accent it... and I made her a hair piece out of some material I have... finished it a few minutes ago, and only burned my thumb once! It turned out pretty cute! (My camera is in the car, so this was taken with my phone)

and of course, my talented youngest daughter showing off her tongue tricks ;)

Trying to be helpful

Xander was trying to be helpful and put in some "Dawn" soap into my dishwasher... this picture was taken after it was super suddsy :)

Gotta love him for trying :)

And get this... during dinner he said, "I wish I was off my mission so I could get married and put dawn in my wife's dishwasher... wouldn't that be so funny?!"

LOL!

Ice Skating Rink

I told Hailey she could invite a friend and go ice skating, she chose her good friend Hannah Lau.
I had quite the experience...
As I was getting Hannah her "walker", I was speeding back, and my skate snagged in a divet that someone had just made (falling)... and fell myself. Chipped my tooth, bloodied my lip, and bruised my knee up real good.
Don't worry, I don't look like a hillbilly, the back is still intact, I just have part of the side missing, and part underneath. It's the tooth next to my top front teeth. (Not exactly sure what it's called... oh well).

I got free tickets (not because I fell) to the ice hockey game tonight. It was lots of fun. We went after feeding the missionaries. The kids got on the jumbo-tron 3 times, and had lots of fun dancing. It was cold outside, and I was excited that Weston could wear one of his Christmas presents from my parents... thank you!

Go Sundogs!

Our 7 Year Old

Today our oldest turned SEVEN! Hailey is such a wonderful part of our family. We love her so much! I can't believe how old she is! The day started early... I remember waking up early on my birthday too... about 5:45am, she came in my room asking if I could curl her hair. After wishing her a happy birthday, I asked her to wait until at least 6 am :) ... I heard her and Xander trying to figure out what her presents were, and once in a while, I'd hear Hailey say, "Xander, you're not supposed to tell me what my present is"... it was funny listening to them. Her one request for this years presents was "Real Horse Stuff". So she got a halter and a brush. We went to her school today to eat lunch with her, I think she was surprised that I picked Cody up from work so he could join us. While we were driving away from Sonic for her slush (Cherry-extra whole cherries)... on Satellite Radio XM78 Kids Place Live- she got her name on the radio wishing her a happy birthday. Tonight she wants to go to "Peter Piper Pizza" for dinner, go shopping with just herself and Mommy, go in the hot tub, and stay up as late as she wants while watching her "red box" movie- Meet the Fairies.  We love Hailey so much!

Happy Birthday Hailey Bug!

Temple Work

We had to leave Utah on Monday, so we weren't able to attend the session, but I got this email from my mom's dad (Thomas Gandolph, Sr.) aka "Papa"

A few of us had the opportunity to go to the Temple last night. It was  very special to us as we had the opportunity to do some special sealings.

My Mom and Dad (Charles & Gladys) to each other, and then I was sealed to them. I want to thank all those that helped it all come together, through doing the history and paper work, and the prayers and just everything.

There were even more that was done last night on both sides of the family, plus extended family files also. It was truly a time to remember.

Looking at Mom/G'ma as her Brother was sealed to her parents, tells how emotional it was. Thanks to all of you for making the Gospel stay alive in our everyday function. NTP&ATL (Never to Part and Always to Love) is what I want for our entire family.

Love, Dad/Papa

(there was about 40 people done)

Sale Pending

So we started a process on a house that was in foreclosure on the 6th of December... we backed out because they weren't budging in price, and we were firm on our max we were going to pay... after weeks of them playing games, we backed out, and they took it off the market. I was sad, but I came to peace with it as we looked around at other homes. But nothing could compare... a week after they took it off they put it back on... for less than we offered them last time!
We put in another offer, and today we accepted the final terms! And it's still below what we asked the first time, with better conditions! The Lord is funny with the way he works things out.
I'm not sure on the exact closing date, but it is on or prior to March 23rd.
