Visitors
Today was the kids "Primary Sacrament Meeting". Cody's parents joined us for lunch, and we also had his cousin Steve, and his wife, Karen Johnson join us for a while before church. It was so good seeing them! And small world, Karen is sisters with a lady in our ward, who is the wife to the Stake President, President Montierth. I've met the stake president, but I haven't had the chance to really meet his wife... it'll be fun to chat with her!
The kids did great in their parts, had them memorized, and sang wonderfully!
Hailey: We can hold fast to the scriptures just like we would hold fast to our parents hand in a crowded room.
Xander: Heavenly Father has a plan for me.

To Help Make Brownies...
Hailey lost one of her top teeth last Sunday. Her other tooth was hanging by a thread, and it was driving me nuts, because she refused to let me pull it out. So I came up with an idea. We had Stake Conference today, so we got home at about 12:30. I made Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup and then we were going for a drive around Prescott to explore... before we left on the drive, I told Hailey of my plan. If she wanted to help me make brownies, she would have to pull out her tooth. "Really?!?" was her reply. Yup! So she got a paper towel and played around with it. Her tooth came out in the car, and landed on her tongue, and she was so Excited! She called both grandmas, and sang- "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!" We got home, and she helped me make brownies. She thought it was so worth it! Me... I LOVE Bribery :)
**This picture doesn't even look like Hailey, it looks like she's looking through one of those peep holes in a door :) But they were hilarious, so I had to post it :)

It was Definitely from Heavenly Father!
We went to the Arizona Best Fest yesterday and today. It was a lot of fun! On the way there tonight, Cody told me about the Paralegal who referred him to Alex. Her name is Barb. He ran into her the other day, and thanked her for referring him. She told him that she didn't know why, but she had a "feeling" to call Alex. -aka- prompting from the Holy Ghost... tonight I got to meet Alex and his wife Maureen. I was talking to Maureen, and thanked her for giving Cody a chance. She told me that Alex had her come to the office when Cody had his interview because he had some other attorneys in the past that weren't good choices. She told me that she had such a good "feeling" about Cody and "knew" that Cody was the one for Alex to hire...aka... Holy Ghost. Both of these women aren't members of the church, however, I had been telling Cody all the while that it wasn't up to Alex. Heavenly Father would prompt (through the Holy Ghost) if he was supposed to hire him or not. We knew that we were supposed to be somewhere specific, with a specific job, and living in a specific ward. Right now we are so close to all three. I don't know where we are going to buy, but I know that it's in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area!
We've been so guided in our lives. We were guided to Orlando for law school-we knew it was for the Oviedo Ward and to be near my family... we knew we were supposed to come back to Arizona after Cody was done with school (I actually fought the promptings for a month and didn't tell Cody-but that was because I wanted to be near my family for Valerie...and this was prior to knowing my family was moving to Utah! However we did tell them before they even knew they were moving)... We didn't know where in Arizona we were supposed to be. Both of us thought it was in the Phoenix Metro-specifically Gilbert. We didn't know until May that it was supposed to be the Prescott Area. We were guided to the Vakula Law Firm, and everything just fell into our laps with the apartments we're in (they just happened to have one open up that day that we could move into-the people who were going to rent the apartment decided to move back the move-in date). I am a true believer in the Lord's timing, His want for our happiness and success, and His love for us. I know that He loves us, and He knows us and what is best for us. I know it. And although there might seem like trials along the way... while we wait for everything to fall into place, He blesses us even then. He never deserts us when we follow Him. He has blessed us so much. We were able to live with my in-laws -how grateful I am for that! I love them so much, and am so grateful for their love and sacrifice for us. He blessed us with a temporary job for Cody at the University of Phoenix, where he was blessed with a manager who was so excited for him to get this job in Prescott. They even bought him a cake for his last day (it said "Not Guilty") :) ... the list goes on and on. I never really thought of our trials as "trials". I considered them blessings, for we learned SO much during the time we were waiting for the Lord's time.
All in all... Heavenly Father has truly blessed my family. And we are where we are SUPPOSED to be :) and I know that we will LOVE raising our family here!

Our New Home... temporarily
Our rental is with the Terraces at Glassford Hill in Prescott Valley, AZ...
5700 E. Market St. #1084
Prescott Valley, AZ 86314
WE LOVE IT! We love the views, the air, Hailey loves her new school (Lake Valley Elementary) and her teacher-Mrs. Ritter. We love the small town feel with all the amenities... it has a mall, a target, hobby lobby, kohls, and all the restaurants... and it has the cowboy atmosphere... acreage if you want (which we do), and TONS of stars at night! The air is cooler, and we get 4 seasons! It is everything Cody and I have ever dreamed of, and ever wanted! We always wanted to raise our family in a place like this, we just never knew it existed until discovering it after Cody didn't pass the February Bar... and now we know why! We never would have known where we were supposed to be... and we knew for a fact that we were supposed to be someplace specific. We knew that from different blessings the both of us received.
Heavenly Father truly does look after us, and knows what's best for us. And EVERYTHING is in his timing! The miracles we've seen, witnessed, and been a part of are truly miraculous! We have definitely had the Lord's hand in our lives, and we are so incredibly grateful for it! We know He loves us, knows us, and wants us to be happy. It is so important for us to follow Him, and to know of Him. How happy I am to know of the True and Everlasting Gospel!
The lessons we've learned throughout this whole experience are numerous! And patience is one of them :) How grateful I am for patience... for learning it... and loving it. For the knowledge that Heavenly Father won't desert us, and wants to bless us-and He will!

Brielle's Math
I watched Brielle divide a box of markers today... she'd take one, say "ZaZa", take a second, say "Be-elle", and take a third, saying "Hai-ee"... and repeat that pattern until she reached the last marker. Then she started over, this time counting... "Two, Two, Fee! Two, Two, Fee!"

First Day of Work
Here is where Cody works - The Vakula Law Firm. It is just uphill from the Courthouse in downtown Prescott.
His office is the top left window (it doesn't have the a/c unit in the window any longer). He loves it, and found out he will be training to do litigation (which is courtside in front of a judge).
203 East Union Street
Prescott, Arizona
It is a historic house, known as the "Marks House".
And the courthouse...

New Job!
Today marks an important day in our family's life... Cody received a phone call from Alex Vakula of Vakula Law Firm... and offered him a job... in our dream place... Prescott, Arizona!
It is a definate answer to prayers, and we know this is a gift from Heavenly Father. A true blessing from God.
And now to pack... we will be leaving as soon as we can find a place to rent!

Weston's Baby Blessing
Weston was blessed today in church. It was a beautiful blessing! Thank you to all our family and friends who were able to come! Funny thing~ Bishop said his name was Winston as he was announcing it this morning :) Oh well :) He was blessed in the Thayer Park Ward-cross streets: Lindsay and Des Moines in Mesa.
This is his blessing... John had his phone record the blessing so I wouldn't miss anything...
-------------------
Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood, we present this infant unto thee to give him a name. And the name that he shall be known, is Weston Philip Johnson.
Weston at this time we bless you to have a burning desire to know the gospel and to share that gospel with everyone you come in contact with. I bless you to know of our Heavenly Father’s love for you. And the sacred truth that you are a son of God. I bless you to conduct yourself as such. I bless you to be a tool in the Lord’s hands and to build His kingdom here on earth. I bless you to be compassionate unto others that you may help build that kingdom, one block at a time with acts of kindness. I bless you to defend those who cannot defend themselves in word and deed; that you will be a powerful example of Jesus Christ here on earth. I bless you with the desire to learn the scriptures and to follow their guidance in your life. I bless you with the strong desire, that you will serve a mission unto the Lord and find a worthy companion to enter the Lord’s house and be sealed forever and have your own family. I bless you that you will always have a strong desire to follow our Heavenly Father and help all those around you to do the same. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
