Splish Splash

She hops into the bath... drinks the water, sucks on the water, and plays in the bubbles... it takes a long time before she wants to come out... and even then she likes to trick me and will stand up like she's ready to get out... nonetheless, as soon as I get the towel, she splashes back down into the water with lots of giggles and smiles. Brielle LOVES taking baths!

Easter Weekend

We had lots of fun over Easter Weekend... we got to watch and play with Ryan and April's kids, Hailey went to the Easter Pageant, we colored eggs, Xander and Hailey went to their cousin Colton's birthday party, we went to the desert (where Cody was really excited to shoot his new AK-47 - a graduation gift from my dad). Cody was surprised at how well I shot. I got the target every time and even blew it off... hahaha. It was fun to spend time with Curtis and Shayla and also Court and Charlene (Cody's cousins).
The Easter Bunny came and gave the kids lots of candy, we had an egg hunt, a yummy dinner over at the Paynes house, and opened packages from my parents... the kids favorite gift from them was chosen by my dad... a toy that poops candy. Thanks dad! :)

It was a fun Easter Weekend!

Our Morning

I got a text from my sister Jamie this morning saying she was at the Phoenix Airport - and would be there for an hour. After Hailey was dropped off at school, we quickly got ourselves and the other kids ready to leave and met up with Jamie for a few minutes before she had to go back through security to catch her flight to Utah. It was fun seeing her for a few minutes!

Now it's time to put Brielle down for a nap, get Xander ready for swim lessons, take Xander to swim lessons and allow Cody to do a writing sample without distractions... and it's not even lunchtime yet :)

An Afternoon in Anthem

Today we went and met up with Cody's brother's family... Ryan, April, Caleb, Eli, Marcus, and Nolan - for lunch and fun in Anthem. We met up at the park, grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, the kids explored the waterfall area and climbed trees (Caleb got both Hailey and Xander down from one of the mesquite trees at different times - THANK YOU :)), played "Pickle" (a fun game with a mix between "Monkey in the Middle" and "Sharks and Minnows") ... had fun talking,... today was LOTS OF FUN! Thanks Johnson's for playing with us this afternoon!

27 Weeks

Well, I'm 27 weeks pregnant today... thus far, my pregnancy has been {honestly} the hardest one I've had. I've been very fortunate over some of my friends, but nausea, dizzy spells, swollen knees, and my legs giving out has been hard on me with three kids 6 and under. This little boy that will be joining our family has a lot of energy and sense of humor. He is CONSTANTLY kicking... I've told Cody I have no idea where my organs are - because he is ALL over the place... ALL the time :) I love feeling the kicks, but man can he kick hard! And I don't think he's just kicking... he's doing rolls, flips, jumping jacks, and stretching all the time :) I'm sure we're in store for a very active little boy... he'll fit right in with Xander :)

Hailey loves to put her hand on my big belly and feel the kicks. And she laughs and talks to the baby... very cute. Xander gets shy to talk to the baby, and instead asks me if his little brother is talking to him. If I ask Brielle where the baby is, she will point to my tummy and say baby.

I am anxious for this little one to come and join our family. We still can't decide on a first name... Weston and Dallin are still the top runners. I am hoping to be able to induce the baby... I've done it with all my other kids, and after learning many things with birthing Hailey, I've figured out ways to keep the pain of labor to a bare minimum :) Plus with this pregnancy being hard for me, I'd like to finish the pregnancy part asap :)

Can't wait to meet our newest addition... he should be about 2 lbs. now, and about 14.5 inches long. And even though I am ready to be done with the pregnancy, I want a healthy little boy... so feel free to stay in there until July little one!

Do Your Nightchores...

Tonight after asking Hailey to brush her teeth, go to the bathroom, and say her night time prayers, I kept wondering why she was in the bathroom for so long... I opened the door, and discovered a bubble beard on my oldest daughter's chin...

I asked her if she went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth... alas... not yet :)

Entz Carnival

Tonight was the Entz Elementary Carnival. We took Hailey and Xander. Brielle stayed home to play with Grandma Johnson. We ate food, played on bounce houses, obstacle courses and slides; Hailey climbed all the way to the top of the rock wall twice (even buzzed the ringer) and got her face painted with a heart and a flower. Xander had a sword and belt balloon made for him. They played games and won prizes, and went into a mini petting zoo where they picked up chickens, baby goats, a bunny, and a duck. Xander even got head butted by the mama goat in his chin - but no worries, he thought it was funny! Hailey had lots of fun seeing her friends from class... it was a lot of fun!

Sweet Moments

Sometimes Cody takes Hailey to school in the mornings... sometimes it's Cody's mom. Today I had the pleasure of taking her to school. I drive her to where the crossing guard is, and then she gets to "walk" to school. After the quick minutes of driving to Entz Elementary with pleasant conversation, she got out and turned and gave me the "I Love You" sign. Then the crossing guard allowed her and a few other kids to cross the street. Her friend Emi Handley's mom dropped her and her sisters off in the same location I dropped Hailey off, and Emi ran up behind Hailey and grabbed her hand. They walked hand in hand as far as I could see smiling, laughing, and talking to each other as they went off to Mrs. Hubbard's Kindergarten class. I love watching sweet moments!
