Time with the Hoggard Family

Our good friends from Florida - the Hoggard's - came out during their spring break to visit us here in Arizona. We had such fun with them! We went to Canyon Lake, hiked up "Hole in the Rock", had "red box" nights, went to the airplane museum at Falcon Field, and had lots of fun conversation and watched the boys play till their hearts content.

Thanks Angie, Keith, and Carson for coming to visit!!! We had so much fun with you guys!!!!

Spring Break Campout

So we decided to go camping this year for Spring Break... we were planning on going to the mountains, but our plans changed... instead we went and hiked up "Hole in the Rock" (next to the Phoenix Zoo), went to Freestone Park in Gilbert, and set up camp in my in-laws backyard, where we roasted hotdogs, marshmallows for smores, sang campfire songs, indulged in ice cream, played in the backyard, and slept in a tent... well, except for Brielle... she slept inside :) Xander and Hailey fell asleep within 5 minutes of laying down. Cody and I were up most of the night having found out that Hailey grinds her teeth... ALL NIGHT LONG. I hope that habit goes away so her teeth don't grind down to nothing!

It was a fun day. And despite not getting much sleep, we enjoyed being woken up to Xander cheerfully exclaiming (at 6:00am) "Get up, Get up! It's morning time!"

It was beautiful weather... we weren't hot, and we weren't freezing...

It was a really good day. I love camping in the city... There's PLUMBING! ;)
